Dr. Taff went on to complete her residency at New York University Langone Medical Center in New York City, where she was selected to serve as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine. She also completed a Fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at NYU Langone Medical Center, and was again selected to serve as Chief Fellow for Hematology/Oncology.

While there, Dr. Taff was named Fellow of the Year, and selected to participate in the highly competitive research Conference  ASCO/AACR Workshop in Methods in Clinical Cancer Research in Vail, Colorado, and worked the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, NY. Dr. Taff is passionate about cancer research and has presented her work at numerous national and international medical conferences and symposia. As advancements in research and medical technology forge ahead, Dr. Taff is excited to remain on the cutting-edge of cancer treatment.

In addition to being well-published in the field of oncology, Dr. Taff prioritizes an outstanding bedside manner. She is warm and personable, takes the time to get to know the patients in her care, and is accessible at all times.

Working through a cancer diagnosis and treatment path is stressful and can be frightening. Dr. Taff understands the emotional component of cancer care and strives to help her patients understand what to expect and how to incorporate self-care into their treatment journey. She firmly believes that successful care treats the whole person, not just the immediate symptoms of the disease. Further, Dr. Taff recognizes that patient priorities in treatment may differ, and she is happy to incorporate complementary and alternative medicine when appropriate. She is also fluent in Spanish and welcomes the opportunity to provide multilingual care in her practice.

Dr. Taff is affiliated with RWJ Barnabas Health and the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, the only hospital in New Jersey designated as a Comprehensive Cancer Center by the National Cancer Institute. This affiliation ensures her patients have access to outstanding subspecialized services and unique treatment opportunities in a location that is close to home.
